I get so tired of people complaining to Speak Out about the building of roundabouts. The city of Carmel, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, started an aggressive program of replacing all stop lights with roundabouts wherever possible about a decade ago. Since they started this program traffic congestion, accidents and maintenance costs have all gone down by double-digit percentage points! Don't believe me? Simply Google "Carmel Indiana roundabouts." My son lives in Carmel and I can tell you from personal experience that even though it is a good size town in the metropolitan area of Indianapolis, a large city, it is very easy to get around in the town. Grow up people! Just because something is different than what you're used to doesn't automatically make it bad.
