Treaty, not deal
On this nuclear deal with Iran, I'm not so sure it should be called a deal. It's more like a treaty. And if it a treaty, it should be ratified by two-thirds of the Senate, if my memory serves me correctly about the laws. But the Democrats can get around that, simply by calling it a deal. And then in eight or 10 years, Iran will have the nuclear bomb, maybe sooner, and nuclear missiles, and guess who they will be shooting at?
IRS scam
I had the craziest call from someone named Mark Williams, who said he was with the IRS. Said I owned them $3,900, and I needed to pay it within the next 45 minutes or they were going to send someone here to arrest me, and I could go to jail for about five years. I know a lot of old people would probably give them their credit card numbers or banking account or something. However, I thought maybe you guys ought to put this in the newspaper, because, like I said, there's a lot of old people out there. I'm 70, but, fortunately, I was smart enough to realize it was some kind of scam.
Street walkers
I don't know what the problem is, but it seems like we've got a geographical divide in Cape, with one kind of behavior seen north of Broadway, or south of Broadway, and the other one never seen north of Broadway. What I'm talking about is, if you get anywhere south of Broadway in this town, it is not uncommon to see people walking down the middle of the street. They don't move for cars. They're not crossing the street. They're walking down the middle of it. At the most, they're crossing at a diagonal, and it takes them about a block to do it. And this is on streets with some very nice sidewalks. This is not residential areas like out in the west side of town, where there are no sidewalks. It is absolutely ridiculous how often I am driving south of Broadway, and I can't get down the street because people, grown adults -- not college kids and not children -- but adults are walking in the street and won't get out of the street.
Ignoring the law
I am glad the county clerk in Kentucky has been released from jail. I've heard people say numerous times that elected officials must follow the law. That's not necessarily true. It depends upon what kind of law it is. The sheriff in San Francisco doesn't like our immigration laws. Therefore, when an illegal criminal alien was arrested, instead of turning him over to ICE as the law requires, the sheriff simply let him go. Because of this, Kate Steinle is now dead. Why isn't anyone calling for the sheriff in San Francisco to be sent to jail?
Selling out?
Before you give the unions too much credit, you should credit them with selling out America.
