Anthony Weiner, the congressman who resigned from Congress because of the "sexting" that he was guilty of, is now running for mayor of New York City. He has been caught at it again. Kind of clues you in on his moral values, don't you think? Well, his response to those who have had enough of his lack of decency, asking him to withdraw from the race, is: "I want to bring my vision to the people of the city of New York. I hope they are willing to still continue to give me a second chance." I think his vision is loud and clear: morally corrupt. But I guess his "vision" is the norm in these areas. So sad.
I see several neighborhood watch signs in the city of Cape Girardeau. After the tragedy in Florida, please, if you see a stranger in your neighborhood, don't follow them on foot. Either stay in your house and call the police or follow them in your car and call the police. Please don't confront them and please don't have a pistol. There will be a lot less legal problems later.
I would like to comment on the postal service's home delivery. I'm 60 years old and disabled, and I hope they don't stop the home delivery.
What kind of country are we coming to when they suspend our police officers for releasing photos of the Boston bomber? Rolling Stone magazine made him look like a rock star or something, and the officer released photos that made the bomber look like the criminal he is.
I saw where the border patrol sent a letter to GOP congressmen to not vote for the amnesty bill. They know what kind of people are coming in, and I agree with the border patrol in that we should keep them out.
It's interesting that the president is spending millions of dollars flying around the country telling people to think about the economy. If he wasn't so out of touch, he'd know that everyone is thinking about the economy because of the inflated price of gas, the ever-shrinking GDP, and the record-breaking unemployment. His policies are destroying our economy.
I see where the Obama administration is getting so-called "stars" to come out and encourage people to accept Obamacare. These people have no idea how us ordinary folks live and have to pay.
I recently have been put on a low-sodium diet. I'm wondering why restaurants in Cape and in the area don't advertise that they have a low-sodium menu available. I'm not aware of any that have that, and it makes me wonder if I can go out and eat anymore.
These music videos that they put on television, is that supposed to be art? It's junk.
Since the city is getting so much money from the casino, I think that the people of Cape need to get together and have property taxes cut in half.
As a taxpayer, I'd like to question something. We have the streets repaired over here on Old Cape Road and other places, and I looked out the other day to see a dump truck full of dirt coming in and out all day on the new concrete. Please tell me why. That's abusing the new concrete.
