Gov. Jay Nixon should be commended as one of the best governors we've had. He may be labeled as a Democrat through his party, but he takes a balanced approach to what he vetoes or signs. And each time, he states why he takes those actions. After the legislators fixed the problems with the car tax, he signed it. And he vetoed a clearly symbolic bill on guns that wouldn't muster a standing in court. I don't agree with the tax issue, but understand the reasoning behind it.
We have made a huge public investment in this, so I hope the following question will be seriously addressed: What is the method Cape Central will use to assess whether the digital devices being given to students has the effect of improving student performance?

Instead of listening to Rush and Sean, look at the data. The Obama administration has issued fewer government regulations than his predecessor at the same point in his presidency. In addition, the cost to business of government regulations peaked in the mid ‘90s under George H.W. Bush.
