Pokemon GO

It's miraculous. At a time when ethnic, racial, religious, demographic, economic, geographic and other barriers dividing us seemed insurmountable, they all appear to have come tumbling down, virtually at the same time. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Pokemon Go!

Proceed with caution

Proceed walking or running up and down the Common Pleas Courthouse steps with extreme caution! The slap-dash, in your face "repair" job on the steps has made the focal point of downtown Cape Girardeau an aesthetically egregious eyesore and illustrates what happens when the media and others overtly or implicitly criticize the county powers that be.

Humane Society

I haven't seen an update lately for the new building for the Humane Society. I wonder if they could provide an update in the paper for all of the people who donated to this cause.

Protests on highways

I have noticed several times during protests that protesters have blocked major highways or interstates. I do not believe any group should be allowed to do that at all. Even if the National Guard has to be called out, so be it. It's ridiculous that it happens at all. You can protest and not block major highways.

Irresponsible statement

Rush Limbaugh's bombastic declaration that Black Lives Matter is a domestic "terrorist group" is irresponsible baloney but wouldn't matter were he not the king of dittoheads who believe everything he says.
