I would like to address the issue of dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. My husband and I live in an area close to a school, and the sidewalk in front of our house is heavily traveled by walkers as well as dog walkers. Yesterday a man and his daughter walking their dog let it go to the bathroom right in the middle of the sidewalk. When my husband called it to his attention, the man said it wasn't hurting anything and he wasn't going to pick it up. Which left me to wonder how he would feel if it were on his lawn. I don't think it's too much to ask for people to pick up after their dogs.
ARE we the city of roses or the city of weeds? Have you ever driven down Kingshighway and seen all the weeds and grass growing in the median? What an eyesore this is for our town.
TODAY I had two homeless men show up at the business where I work, one in the early morning and the other in the afternoon. I have never seen homeless people in this area. They both said they were from St. Louis. Are they being brought here to make a showing?
