"Brighton Beach Memoirs" at the River Campus was truly the best play I have ever seen. Wow! I saw it earlier tonight, and I can't stop thinking about it. Congrats to everyone involved.
I read the article about poor people not receiving enough throwaway diapers from the government for their kids. I guess when we had our two children, we were poorer than poor. If the government is going to give them diapers, give them a washboard, soap and cloth diapers. These are reusable and will not clog up the landfills. Wash and reuse. That's what I had to do. By the way, both of our kids grew up to be respectable citizens, are self-supporting and raised their families without government handouts.
A new study proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that taking lecture or other notes with pencil and paper will allow one to learn and remember the material much better than taking notes via a laptop or handheld device of some sort. This is one of many reasons I urge area schools to, before it's too late, ditch the devices.
