Scooter licenses

I think they should put a license plate on all the scooters. They're like a motorcycle, and they use them in the streets. Just think of what Missouri could come up with in license fees, I'd say maybe $5 for a year or $10 per year for a permit. That would bring a lot of revenue in, what we need really badly in the state -- especially for our streets and roads.

Blame speculators

THE price of gasoline at the pumps is being increased by speculators on oil who don't even see a barrel of oil. In fact, the supply of oil is bigger than the demand. It's all being done by speculators. The President has nothing to do with it. Supply is outpacing demand. Blame the speculators, don't blame the President.

Special interests

SPECIAL interest rules. I'm forced to subsidize, then forced to buy the abomination called ethanol. I'm also forced to subsidize other people's airfares with the essential air service program. I guess that's how you get re-elected.

Reverse mortgages

BE careful. If you noticed there are a lot of reverse mortgage ads on television right now. They are not what they try to make you believe they are.

Cruise control

THE price of gas is going up. People are wanting to conserve. I'll tell you how you can really save a lot. Use your cruise control. That will save you a bundle of gas on the highways. Whenever I drive from here to St. Louis, I pass a lot of people and they're not using their cruise control. When it rains I can't use it, but when I can use it I use a lot less gasoline.
