IF I bought Japanese-made cars, I would go there to live. I have a Chevrolet Malibu and a Ford pickup with 149,000 miles on it, and it runs like new. You couldn't want any better.

Put them to work

THE story about the Civilian Conservation Corps program on the front page of the Southeast Missourian tells how things were caught up in rural areas. It was needed. It got people work. And it put food on the table. We need a program today to put inmates to work to pay back society, not watch cable TV in a prison.

I met an old friend the other day I hadn't seen in a long time. I tried to shake hands with him. He said, "No more shaking hands. Got to do the knuckle bump." I don't know what the knuckle bump is. I wish someone would tell what this knuckle bump is.
