I was not really a Trump supporter, but as time passes and I see how the media is trying to manipulate our impression of Trump by publishing very unflattering pictures, while they show everyone else smiling (Associated Press) and now the Republican establishment trying to put together a plan to oust Trump from being a nominee, I find my self sick of it! The media crammed Barack Obama down our throat to the point of being unfortunately elected not once but twice and a political party that raves how open-minded they are and accepting, but when their boys don't perform well in the primaries, this accepting group tries to oust someone who has followed the rules and won the majority of the vote.
Now that's a dilemma for Republicans. Polls show over 25 percent of them would not vote for Donald Trump if he gets the nomination. Same goes for Ted Cruz and John Kasich.
Cape Girardeau's Interactive City Map asks: What do you think? Well I will tell you! It's a waste of tax dollars! Google does a good enough job for free. Also, stop wasting taxpayer money on color brochures, which, by the way, duplicate all the effort put into this interactive city map. All the information on the map can be found elsewhere on the city's website.
Am I the first out of the box? Anyway, I want to go on record and state that if Donald Trump is elected president, I will do everything within my power to make certain that he is a one-term president.
They try to say it's not a tax increase, just a continuation of a tax. In November 2016, your use tax will be 0.00 percent. On April 5, you can vote 'no' to keep it at zero, or you can vote 'yes' to set the use tax at 2.75 percent, for the privilege of purchasing an item and bringing it into the county/city. Sounds like a tax increase to me.
I might have missed it. Did the Academy Award-winning movie for Best Picture of the year, "Spotlight," ever come to Cape Girardeau?
It will destroy the Republican Party if it doesn't nominate Donald Trump. If it does nominate Donald Trump, the result will be the same.
As I drive through Jackson's muddy city streets, I ponder whether the local construction contractors and local car washes conspire together. And my car gently weeps.
Frighteningly, Trumpism is not a nightmare from which you will awaken. It is very real as is the potential for its triumph.
I find it sadly amusing that a professor at a public university would protest a candidate for public office being welcomed in a publicly (taxpayer) funded building.
