Dance night at Osage

Penny Williams' paean to the photography of Southeast Missourian employee Laura Simon at Cape's parks and rec-sponsored father-daughter dance was a pleasure to read. The father-daughter dance is one of an ever-growing number of unqualified success stories of city-sponsored events. It takes many people to make the dance the success it has become, but I'd like to put in a special Speak Out plug for Stacy Welter, so instrumental in starting what is now a tradition, and Cassie Essner for playing such a crucial role in helping continue it.

Jackson prices

I, too, am disappointed at the latest price hike coming from the city of Jackson. I tell you, I'm seriously thinking of packing up and moving out.
