ENOUGH is enough. How much time and money is the deer dilemma costing? I believe bringing it to a vote would be much cheaper. What about a poll in the Southeast Missourian and go by that? I believe the city of Cape Girardeau has higher priorities to deal with.
ROBERT Andre Glasper's letter to the editor titled "Public's misplaced anger" was the best article I have ever read in your newspaper. It should be required reading for every Republican and tea party voter.
MY comment is in regard to a recent front-page article about the police wanting a new building. My feeling is this: The spending has to stop at some point. The 25 percent of us who work and pay taxes to support the other 75 percent just can't continue to go on forever.
THE political ad attacking Claire McCaskill is bullying, degrading and has very poor taste. They might as well save their money. Anyone with half a brain knows these are desperate, uninformed attacks. We are trying to teach our children not to bully, yet adults show them otherwise. They need to grow up.
AFTER reading your article about the problems concerning the septic tank system in the Fruitland area, I am concerned about the runoff that goes into Hubble Creek going through Jackson. As you know, some of the Fruitland residents falsely accused Heartland Quarry of polluting the creek. Maybe they need to look into their own backyards.
REGARDING my city bill, I must report that the city did come out and check my meter and it had been misread. The final outcome was that my bill was only $2 more than it was last month, so that is much better.
Big Bend
WHOEVER was responsible for pouring the concrete on Big Bend Road should be responsible for either paving over it or milling it down smooth. It is one of the worst roads I have driven on.
