I support the growth and planning the city is discussing. However, growth requires several resources. One in particular is the city employees who are needed to maintain and protect the development and growth. I sincerely hope that part of the planning includes salary increases for city employees such as grounds and maintenance personnel, police and firemen. They are the ones who are on the front line and maintain and protect the investments of the city and the people who live here. With the new casino months away from opening, there should be plenty of dollars that can and should be allocated to provide a decent and competitive salary like other casino cities have allocated.
SO Mitt Romney is going to focus on the middle class, because the wealthy don't need his help and the "very poor" don't need help because they have "safety nets" that help them. I am curious as to what income Mitt Romney considers middle class and very poor, especially considering he said he didn't make very much in speaking fees. I could live on what he made in speaking fees for a long time. Many lower-middle-class and poor families have no safety nets. He and the majority of politicians holding offices have no idea how millions of their constituents live.
