In the Nov. 23 paper, the Out of the Past for 11-27-1939, it was stated that the score of 53-0 was the largest score ever made Central since the two teams played together since 1912. However, the 1942 Central team defeated Jackson by 70-0 at Jackson on Thanksgiving Day in that year. I know this to be true, as I played on the 1942 team.
Instead of complaining about the mail delivery, show some sympathy for the person making the delivery. I'm glad it isn't me walking around after dark when more dogs are on the loose and it's easier to trip over things.
Well, it is again the most happiest time of the year for most everyone and the children. I'm so thankful that our Dear Lord and Savior was born a babe, grew to be a man in human flesh, just as we do. I'm sorrowful at Easter time, that He was put to death in shame before the people. But on the Easter morning, what a glorious day. So let's not forget the true meaning of Christmas during all the hustle and bustle of shopping and planning for the big day. I'm wishing for everyone a blessed Christmas and a joyous new year.
