It's amazing how the Democrats love to pass laws and control everybody's behavior and use big government to control everything from cradle to grave. However, they don't like to be subjected to their own rules. For instance, Missouri's attorney general, whose sole task is charged with enforcing the laws, has now been outed as giving big corporations a pass for their illegal actions, as long as they donate to his campaign. And, of course, the Ebola nurse who refuses to be quarantined because, hey, it's too inconvenient not to be able to get a double light, extra-cream latte whenever she feels like it. These people are putting us at risk both economically and now physically at risk.
The River Campus had a great show, "Anything Goes," the Cole Porter musical. It was just delightful. It might be the most fun I've had there, and I go out to the performances all the time. Emma Stratton was outstanding in the female lead, too. One of the things I enjoyed about it a lot was, unlike many of the performances I've seen at the River Campus, I could actually understand what the people were singing about.
Although it wasn't high enough, I'm pleased as punch that voters in numerous red states voted to raise the minimum wage.
