I think Marie Antoinette is now in the White House. The president's recent trip cost us $200 million a day. How about those of us that are drawing Social Security? He reminds me of Antoinette's statement, "Let them eat cake." IN the primary elections, candidates camp out at the secretary of state's office to try to get their name at the top of the ballot. So why was it that during the recent general election, every Democrat was at the top of the ballot?...

Sullivan column

JOE Sullivan's Nov. 5 column was wonderful. I agree with everything he said, as I think President Obama would. However, in our current contentious, self-serving, mean-spirited political environment, I think it is just a dream.
