Mice, men

"Of Mice and Men" at the River Campus was simply amazing. Everything about this production was beautifully done. Everyone around me was in tears at the end of the show. What a treasure that place is to our city. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved with this show.

Worse than Illinois

Not unsurprisingly, the Missouri state legislature received a D- from the Center for Public Integrity for its collective ethical behavior. To put that in perspective, one journalist noted that Missouri's state legislature received a lower grade than did, believe it or not, the state legislature of Illinois.

Haas a hero

Tyler Graef's profile of WWII veteran Kenny Haas was terriffic. The modest Mr. Haas has long deserved the recent recognition he has received. He is a true hero and we all owe him a very sincere debt of gratitude.

Mizzou rebels

With the growing student protests at Mizzou, it's almost as if the '60's are back!

SNL miss

I missed Donald Trump on SNL. How can I live with myself? I won't know the true him.

Enjoy the ride

I think all of the people who paid money to apparently be "taken on a ride" by Dr. Ben Carson's inspiring but in part false biography deserve a refund.

Godless enemy

The greatest enemy to America today is atheism.

School board

The Perryville Public School Board is in such a chaotic state that it is surpassed in its anarchic nature only by a "debate" assembly of Republican presidential candidates.

Style favors Hillary

As you reported, a majority of Republicans want a confrontational approach to our political problems. However, a significant minority don't and prefer bipartisan attempts to solve our problems. Thus, if a confrontationalist (Carson, Cruz, Trump) is nominated, a minority of Republicans will join with Democrats to hand Hillary Clinton a landslide victory.
