WE READ about, we talk about, we see on the news on television and in the paper about conserving energy and how we're using too much energy. But look what we do with our government and public buildings. The Rush H. Limbaugh U.S. Courthouse has those high ceilings. Jackson High School's new building has high ceilings. And now the Cape Girardeau Public Library will have high ceilings. These buildings are bound to be using more energy for heat and lighting.

HERE WE are next to the gasoline pipeline at Scott City, yet gasoline is 50 cents a gallon cheaper in Nixa, Mo., and Evansville, Ind.
