Phone operators

EVERY time you call to talk to your mortgage company, your phone company, anywhere to pay bills, all you get is foreigners on the phone and you can't understand them hardly at all. No wonder there aren't any jobs for Americans. Are all these calls coming from overseas? Could somebody please let me know? Thank you.

Farming Dust

I am glad the EPA is finally taking action on all the dust that farmers create by working their ground. I am sure it is contributing to climate change somehow. I think they should just plow their fields and harvest their crops after it rains. And instead of burning the wheat and rice stubble, they should just drive their big tractors through the field and smash the stubble into the ground. If the EPA would just control the farming business more, then it will lead to lower food prices and more jobs. It would reduce health care costs. It's a win-win for all.

Federal Reserve

END the Federal Reserve now. This corporation is not federal and there is no reserve. When will we finally learn? Without a gold- and silver-backed currency as required by our U.S. Constitution, the richest 1 percent will always get most of the money and wealth. They steal from everybody else by inflating the money supply.

Economy and hunting

I should have expected it. History shows that when an economy turns bad, we vent our wrath on Bambi.

Counterfeit currency

WITH the Fed correctly printing money as quickly as possible to try to help out our ailing economy, couldn't a case be made that our economy could also be given a boost by infusing a bit of counterfeit currency?

Hanaway talk

CATHERINE Hanaway stopped in Cape Girardeau and gave a brief talk to a smattering of citizens on her proposal for making a bad economy worse.

Church attire

I would like to know what is happening in our churches. It's our place of worship, but it's God's house. I was in a church recently and a pastor got up in the pulpit with old jeans on, his shirt out of his pants, tattoos all over his arms, and thong shoes on. The ladies had on Capris, shorts, bluejeans and backless and see through tops. To me that was so disrespectful to God in his house. When I left I did not feel like I had been in church. God help us when we start playing church.
