Christmas has ever been a season that makes us think of forgiveness, hope and miracles. This year encompasses all three for me. Anyone who reads the paper knows I was shot in the head in September. It is a miracle that I survived and am able to be here to celebrate the true meaning of this season with my family and friends.

I have met some wonderful people during my recovery. They have given me the hope that I can go on with my life and still see the good in it, hope that there are other people just as wonderful and supporting someone who needs it.

I have already forgiven the man that did this to me. After all, I am able to tell my daughter that I love her every day. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me through this.

I want to give Bridget DiCosmo, the reporter of my story, a special thank-you. She has become a dear friend, and she respectfully reported my story. God bless everyone.
