His sacrifice will be remembered in Southeast Missouri. And not just because he was a good soldier. But because he was a good man too.

He will be remembered for his sacrificial spirit. He never married, never had children, but he had an extended family that reached through the Gordonville and Jackson area.

Rest in peace, Sgt. Skelton. We offer thanks for your commitment to your country, your family, your comrades and your friends.
