Ed Massey died this week at 82 and we're all poorer for the loss of such a fine man. Cape Girardeau, though, is much the better for his having lived here, raised his family and conducted business as he did for so many years. Ed was a Christian gentleman, quiet and unassuming in demeanor, a pillar of the community and an excellent example of a businessman who "lived by the Book" -- the Bible. ...

Ed Massey died this week at 82 and we're all poorer for the loss of such a fine man. Cape Girardeau, though, is much the better for his having lived here, raised his family and conducted business as he did for so many years. Ed was a Christian gentleman, quiet and unassuming in demeanor, a pillar of the community and an excellent example of a businessman who "lived by the Book" -- the Bible. His word was good, his advice solid and trusted. Cape Girardeans are grateful for his service and extend sympathies to his family.
