The grandstand entertainers at this year's fair are Randy Travis, Tracy Byrd and the Renegades of Southern Rock. The tractor pulls, horse show, demolition derby and the Heartland Idol star search will draw thousands of fans as well.

Through 150 years, the fair has become a Southeast Missouri institution by changing with the times while retaining its down-home character.

September in Southeast Missouri wouldn't be September without the SEMO District Fair.
