To the editor:
I have to tell you how sad this story makes me. I heard an update on the radio that the suspect in the abduction of the little girl from Scott City admitted to binding the girl with duct tape and raping her while he watched a porno movie. I cried my eyes out. He just killed every ounce of innocence that little girl had.
I have been searching the Internet for over two hours, and there was no trace of this story anywhere. The only thing everyone else wants to talk about is Bush's drunk-driving record that happened a long time ago. Granted, politics are important to everyone, but if this was Bush's daughter who was kidnapped and raped, it would have been the headline in every national and local newspaper, right? It makes me mad. Is that little girl's life so menial that the election deserved so much more priority? I think not.
That's why I think your staff and reporters deserve a pat on the back. I truly respect you for making this story a priority. It just proves to your readers how strong your values are as a company and as a family.
