LETTERS: THANKS FOR TOYBOX HELP

To the editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the community who so graciously helped make Toybox 1995 a success. We supplied toys, hats and gloves to approximately 1,200 children this year, and it could not have been done without the support of the Cape Girardeau community.

Many schools and day-cares in the area donated hats, gloves and toys. Target and Kmart gave us discounts for our many shopping trips, which helped stretch our fund a little bit further. Many area businesses donated money and provided drop-off points. A special thanks to Kim McDowell and Peggy O'Farrell at the Southeast Missourian for all of their help.

It was truly a joy to work with Toybox and see the community come together to help support this project. We hope everyone has a joyous and prosperous 1996.
