To the editor:

I would like to draw attention to some positive news about a group of Southeast Missouri State University students. The Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and the Alpha Chi Omega sorority have joined forces to conduct a food drive that will help supply needed food for area food banks. The great thing about this is that you have heard about Greek organizations lately is that they drink too much or that they are involved in hazing. It is refreshing to hear about a group of students who are working so hard to provide a community service.

The food drive being conducted now is the fifth national food drive conducted by this group, and the bags of food will be collected this Saturday. I hope everyone will encourage this kind of behavior by donating food to this effort.
