So often I hear people say that they're not going to vote or get involved or do such and such, because it won't make any difference. But, oh, how wrong they are.
The latest illustration of one person's influence was seen in the Farm Bureau's throwing out a prepared resolution approving Gov. Carnahan's and Dr. Bartman's ill-conceived Outstanding Schools Act (Senate Bill 380) and passing one in opposition to it. What made the difference?
Once person: State Sen. Pete Kinder's revelation of its destructiveness.
