To the editor: The Monett Police Department needs your help. Officers recently responded to a landlord who went to clean up a house where renters had suddenly left and were thought to have returned to California. The Monett Police Department needs your help.

Officers recently responded to a landlord who went to clean up a house where renters had suddenly left and were thought to have returned to California.

The landlord found two tombstones in the garage. They were for Robert Lee Simpson, March 18, 1936-May 23, 1996, SP4, U.S. Army, Korea and Walter R. Guyall, July 25, 1922-Aug. 26, 1996, Private, U.S. Army, World War II.

The stones appear to be in good condition.
