To the editor:

I would like to thank you, Peggy Scott and everyone at the Southeast Missourian for the great coverage you provided the Marching Tigers during their season.

Not only did you provide an article after each of our competitions -- five in all, you also covered the band's involvement in President Clinton's visit and the Jackson Band Festival.

We have 131 hard-working students in marching band this year, and they have been inspired by the dedication and perseverance of their directors: Ron Nall, Neil Casey and Mark Ellison, as well as Katie McDonald, the color guard director.

The marching band represents Cape Girardeau as it travels throughout the state. Photos of the band have been in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and St. Louis "Where" magazine. We appreciate all of the support that we have received from you and many others in the community. The Cape Central Marching Tigers are something in which all of our community can take great pride.
