I love Sundays. There's church, resting, family time, watching baseball and football (or March Madness for all you basketball fans), and, of course, reading the Southeast Missourian. And if you're reading this, you, like me, probably enjoy reading the Good Times section.

Each Sunday in the Good Times section we bring you inspiring stories, community news, stories of faith, engagement and wedding announcements, and columns from local readers. Starting today, Good Times gets even better.

In addition to the coverage you're used to seeing, we've moved the Home page content -- including the columns by Tom Harte, Paul Schnare and Susan McClanahan -- from the Wednesday paper to this section. See today's columns on page 5.

A new addition to Good Times is the History page. Southeast Missourian photographer Fred Lynch and librarian Sharon Sanders have been blogging at semissourian.com about historical stories and photos. Now, selected blogs by the two will appear regularly in print. Other history-related blogs may also be reprinted periodically.

While the blogs should be reason enough check out this new feature (see page 4), there's so much more.

Submitted photos from you, our readers, that are history related will periodically be published. To submit a photo for consideration, go to www.semissourian.com/forms/photo. A weekly trivia question also appears at the top of the page. Readers are encouraged to guess the answer to the question by emailing Sharon Sanders at ssanders@semissourian.com. The answer to the question can be found by reading the previous week's Out of the Past column. Finally, we'll have briefs about what happened this week in history.

These changes, along with the other content you've come to expect, have been enhanced thanks to the redesign headed by Brandon Rottmayer, our lead designer.

And don't forget about the Good Samaritan Chronicles. Earlier this month we published the first edition of the Good Samaritan Chronicles. WOW! We have quite a few people in this community doing good deeds on a regular basis. You can read all of the Good Samaritan Chronicles on our website, www.semissourian.com/goodsamaritanchronicles, or on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/goodsamaritanchronicles.

Don't forget to keep these entries going. By entering these good deeds on the website you can help us plot where these acts of kindness are taking place. If you'd rather, you can submit your Good Samaritan story on the Facebook page or by regular mail:

All submissions must include your name and hometown. You can submit as many times as you'd like. There is a 150-word limit. The next edition of the Good Samaritan Chronicles will be published April 1.

We're excited about the new Good Times section and think you will be to. So with no further ado, let the Good Times roll.
