To the editor:

Recently, directors and members of choirs from several churches gathered at Grace United Methodist Church for a vocal seminar given by Judith Farris. It was an evening of learning and sharing. Everyone in attendance sat quietly engrossed, soaking up as much information as possible. What an honor it was for all of us to sit in one of Judith's vocal seminars. Her talent and experience are second to none. She was entertaining and inspiring. Her love for music and enthusiasm left us with a new excitement to raise our voices to the Lord and sing. Our church community will continue to be blessed by her teachings.

Southeast Missouri State University and our community are so fortunate to have such an experienced, talented and gracious person as Judith Farris "giving back," as she would say. We look forward to those future opportunities. Thank you.
