To the editor:
If the Jackson School Board can find $108,000 in salary, $10,000 in annual annuity, $600 a month car allowance plus additional benefits for the superintendent, how can it have the nerve to cram another huge bond issue down our throats for another new school?
Why is it necessary to keep up with Cape Girardeau. I know it has a new high school.
I am sure there are many more senior citizens besides myself who are living on less than $9,000 a year and cannot afford more school taxes. I agree the high school needs to be updated, but we do not need such a fancy addition.
