Year after year, readers have seen the world through the eyes of Jean Bell Mosley in her weekly newspaper column. We have learned to pause and celebrate nature and country living. With her help, we have rejoiced in life's small pleasures.

A prolific writer, Mosley has published several hundred short stories and articles in such magazines as Reader's Digest, Saturday Evening Post, Guideposts and Ladies Home Journal. She has also authored five books. And since mid-century, she has written her weekly newspaper column for the Southeast Missourian and former Bulletin-Journal.

Over the next year, readers are in for a real treat. Mosley's new autobiography will appear in the place of her weekly column -- each week a new installment of her remarkable observations.

Entitled "For Most of the Century," Mosley tells her story in familiar form, like a friendship shared on a porch swing.

As we follow her story, readers will not only learn more about this amazing writer, but we will learn more about ourselves. And perhaps we'll stop along life's path to discover joy along the way.
