Great time at Semoball Awards

June 21 marked the inaugural Semoball Awards banquet. I have attended many events at the Show Me Center over its 27-year history. I cannot, however, remember witnessing a finer, more professional and inspirational event than occurred that evening.

On behalf of SoutheastHEALTH, we congratulate the Rust Communications family and event chair Lucas Presson for organizing, producing and executing such a memorable evening.

Kyle Maynard's message, in the absence of Ozzie Smith, was both riveting and encouraging and challenged the audience with the notion of "No Excuses," and that anything is possible.

As an integrated system of health care services and facilities, we were pleased to be the presenting sponsor. Our support fits well with our presence as a regional health care system of care and our commitment to take an active role in the communities we serve.

Our congratulations go to all the student athletes and coaches recognized at the event and especially to the male and female Athletes of the Year, Carrie Shephard of South Pemiscot, Missouri, and Kevonte Mitchell of Kennett, Missouri.

Just like athletics, health care requires teamwork. So from the SoutheastHEALTH team to yours, congratulations on a job well done, and our very best wishes for your continued success. See you at the Semoball Awards banquet in 2015.
