To the editor:
The Franklin Elementary School PTA is concerned to hear allegations made in the newspaper. The entire PTA board would like to stress that it welcomes any and all parents who seek to be more involved in the education of their children and partnering with the schools. The process is simple: Complete the PTA form and return it to the school with the $5 dues that are required by the state and national PTA associations. Parent involvement is extremely crucial in the success of children, and Franklin Elementary has made great progress in involving parents. In believing this, Franklin PTA would encourage all parents to become actively involved in the PTA as well as any other organizations that will increase parent involvement. As PTA, our main goal is to promote the success of children in collaboration with the schools and parents. We openly extend an invitation to all parents to join our organization.
