Amateur shutterbugs from Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois can receive the recognition they deserve through this year's popular Foto Fest contest.
The rules are simple. Be a resident of Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Scott, New Madrid, Stoddard, Perry or Madison counties in Missouri or Alexander, Pulaski or Union counties in Illinois. Take a picture or find one taken after Jan. 1, 1999. Turn it in at this newspaper or at its contest co-sponsor, Westfield Shoppingtown in Cape Girardeau, along with an entry form.
And if that's not enough information, call Westfield Shoppingtown at 339-1333.
The contest runs from June 30 to Aug. 10, with the first winners picked July 9. Four winners will be selected at the end of each week, with six finalists at the end of the contest eligible for valuable prizes.
In addition, about 30 entered pictures each week will be selected by contest judges to be posted at semissourian.com for all to see.
So, happy snapping!
