This is to respond to Bill Baron's letter. Maybe he is from Houston where oil refineries are commonplace and he likes being exposed to hazardous air pollutants, but I can say as a father that I don't want the risk of the exposure of these cancer-causing elements going into the lungs of my children...

This is to respond to Bill Baron's letter. Maybe he is from Houston where oil refineries are commonplace and he likes being exposed to hazardous air pollutants, but I can say as a father that I don't want the risk of the exposure of these cancer-causing elements going into the lungs of my children.

I am passionate about standing up for my community and my children. I wish our local politicians felt the same instead of lining their pockets on the health risk at hand. The Malta Bend, Mo., plant does not compare to the three plants proposed for the Cape Girardeau and Scott City area.

Please, folks, do your research before being hoodwinked by the developers and investors of these plants. I have always said don't take my word on this ethanol issue. Do your own research and you will see the cause for alarm and not what the investors and politicians paint through rose-colored glasses.
