To the editor: Where is our law enforcement when it's needed, especially the federal law enforcement? My sources inform me that there is rampant theft of heavy equipment in New Orleans. Dump trucks, forklifts, cranes, Bobcats and front-end loaders have been taken. When the New Orleans police are informed, they do nothing. The police say the heavy equipment is being placed on ships and sent to Cuba. In one case a dump truck was spotted in a video taken in Cuba...

If I know about the thefts, surely federal law enforcement knows about it. Why have they done something about it? Or are they incapable of doing something about it?
