Emerson knows business

Small-business owners, and those who understand their importance in growing our economy, are supporting Jo Ann Emerson. Jo Ann is fighting against the higher taxes and regulations supported by President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and Tommy Sowers that threaten the viability of small businesses in Southeast Missouri and across the country.

The health care takeover with its mandates and fees imposed on small businesses is a perfect example. As the economic engine, our nation depends on small businesses to create new jobs. Sowers' support for this terrible law defies logic. We need policies that will encourage, not discourage job creation.

Let's do our part here in the 8th District by sending Jo Ann back to Congress. If you believe that small business, entrepreneurship and free enterprise is good for America, support Jo Ann on Nov. 2. The future of our nation is at stake.
