To the editor:

On behalf of the Alan R. Stroup family, we want to publicly thank the many people who have shown the Minor, Stroup and Payne families so much kindness in our time of extreme sorrow following the Alan's death. People have been so supportive in so many different ways. People brought food, called to voice their support and sent cards and notes of comfort. Many have contributed to an education fund for the boys. Hundreds of people have reminded us that we are in their prayers. We are so grateful for so many unselfish acts of kindness. We have a long way to go, but these caring people have helped us make it this far. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
