  • Sean Seyer of Cape Girardeau received honors for his presentation on British Imperial air routes at a Midwest Regional Conference of Phi Alpha Theta, an international history honor society. He is a graduate student in history at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
  • Kelly Jahn of Jackson has been selected to participate in the Missouri Agribusiness Academy, a state program centered around careers in agriculture. Jahn is one of 30 high school sophomores selected from across Missouri.

  • Central High School's Student Senate will hold a "Big Man on Campus" event at 7 p.m. April 4 with all proceeds donated to the Safe House for Women in Cape Girardeau.
