Tom Gilliland, son of Benjamin and Connie Gilliland of Jackson, is a third-generation Jackson Boy Scout Troop 311 Eagle Scout who received his rank recently at a court of honor held at Southeast Missouri State University. His Eagle Scout project consisted of 70 hours of woodworking. Gilliland built five benches used for a long bow building class at the Missouri Department of Conservation.
