Army National Guard Pvt. Cara J. Golightly has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C. During the nine weeks of training, she received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, among other things. She is the daughter of Nancie Golightly and niece of Brenda Renfroe, both of Cape Girardeau. Golightly is a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School.
