Trent Waltz was nominated as a delegate representing Missouri at the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders, held June 28 to 30 in Boston.
Waltz, 17, was selected to participate because of his academic achievements, leadership potential and desire to contribute to the fields of science and technology.
Participants must have a minimum 3.5 grade-point average to attend.
Waltz attends Saxony Lutheran High School in Jackson and will be a senior during the coming academic year.
