Southeast scholarships awarded
The following students have been awarded scholarships to attend Southeast Missouri State University beginning this fall.
- Abagail Estes of Scott City has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Estes is the daughter of Clint and Christine Estes of Scott City and will be a 2018 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School.
- Alexandrea Ponder of Perryville, Missouri, has received the Residence Life Leadership Award. Ponder is the daughter of Scott Ponder of Perryville, Missouri, and Andrea Ponder of Perryville, Missouri. She will be a 2018 graduate of St. Vincent High School.
- Joshua Sauceda of Perkins, Missouri, has received the President's Scholarship. Sauceda is the son of Nancy Pitts of Perkins, Missouri, and the late Brian Sauceda. He will be a 2018 graduate of Oran High School.
- Haley Taylor of Cape Girardeau has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Taylor is the daughter of Steve and Kim Taylor, and will be a 2018 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School.
- Hannah Brugger of Jackson has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Brugger is the daughter of Keith and Christy Brugger of Jackson and will be a 2018 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School.
- Abigail Cook of Chaffee, Missouri, has received the Residence Life Leadership Award. Cook is the daughter of Bill Cook of Chaffee, Missouri, and Rosie Cook of Jackson. She will be a 2018 graduate of Delta High School.
- Calvin Crenshaw of Jackson has received the University Scholarship and Residence Life Leadership Award. Crenshaw is the son of Michael and Betty Crenshaw, and will be a 2018 graduate of Jackson High School.
- Abigail Chrusciel of Jackson has received the Regents' Scholarship and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship. Chrusciel is the daughter of Tom and Jill Chrusciel of Jackson, and will be a 2018 graduate of Jackson High School.
- Joshua Humphreys of Millersville has received the University Scholarship and Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship. Humphreys is the son of Rich and Stacy Humphreys of Millersville, and will be a 2018 graduate of Jackson High School.
Missouri Scholars Academy participants announced
Two students from Cape Central High School were recently selected to participate in the Missouri Scholars Academy, a program for students entering their junior year, according to Dana Saverino, district spokesperson. Lee Sanders and Archna Sobti, both in 10th grade at Central, were selected.
