Thomas Meyer, of Exit Realty-Thomas Meyer Associates, recently retired from 25 years of volunteering with the Optimist Youth in Government Day. Youth in Government Day pairs student from six local high schools with a government or civil services worker. Meyer coordinates with the six local Optimist clubs, the high schools and organizations to place 75 to 80 students in a job for a day so they can see how the city works...
