When taking on the job of directing a production for River City Players, having a co-director is of great importance. This person has to have theatre experience and be aware of the details that it takes to put on a quality show. It is a great experience, plus once you have co-directed you can put your name in the hat to be a director for an upcoming production. A.J. McNamara is the person holding that position for this play. A.J. is 27 years old and is a resident of Cape, originally from Kennett, MO. After graduating from SEMO in 2009, he has been both on-air talent for Mix 96.5 and 104.7 KREZ and a waiter. Upon leaving the radio business, A.J. had a desire to test the acting waters again, thus leading him to find the River City Players. The renewed passion he found with RCP has even inspired him to move to Chicago to pursue comedic acting full time. After enjoying three great roles in the RCP productions of "Academia Nuts," "First Things First," and "A Night in the Theatre," A.J. decided to try his hand at co-directing. He has enjoyed this new challenge tremendously and is anxious for the audiences to see all the hard work he and the cast and crew have put in on this production.
