MOTHER/DAUGHTER TEAM UP ON RCP'S STAGE.......
Our first show of the season is just right around the corner opening on Friday, February 24. The show is "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean." We are very excited about two of the actors in this production due to the fact that they are mother and daughter. I am speaking of Andrea and Hannah Shovan. Andrea is not new to the stage but Hannah is. Andrea will be playing Mona (the present). Andrea graduated from Cape Central High School and then went on to Murray State University to pursue a Theatre/Music degree. Andrea works for JCS Wireless here in Cape and is married with two children Alex and her daughter Hannah. Andrea has performed in many productions some of which include; Of Mice and Men, Radio TBS, Faith County and Faith County 2. She has also directed many show including Cheaper by the Dozen, A Bad Year for Tomatoes and Faith County. Andrea is very excited to be acting in her 3rd season with River City Players!! You may remember her as Jerry in The Crazy Time, for this role she was awarded an Abbott Award for Best Actor in a lead role. Andrea is thrilled to be sharing the stage with her daughter in Hannah's acting debut. Speaking of Hannah let me introuduce you to her. She is 13 years old and in the 8th grade at Cape Central Junior High. Hannah enjoys being a member of the band and loves art. She is also a member of Christ Episcopal Church and Cape Bible Chapel youth group. This is her firest envolvement on stage with River City Players. Hannah is playing Mona (when Mona was young). Hannah has been known to help her mom (Andrea) memorize lines as well as some backstage work during different performances. Hannah is very excited to be acting in her first play with her mom and her best friend Olivia. She looks forward to being involved in RCP for many years to come. If you want to see this dy-no-mite duo then now is the time to make your reservations by calling Port Cape at 573-334-0954. The dinner shows are February 24, 25, March 2 and 3. The show only will be Thursday, March 1. This show is a comedy/drama and is rated PG-13. I will see you at the Theatre!
