HE'S BACK!!!!!!!!
Today I would like to talk about a shining star with River City Players, AJ McNamara. Sound familar? It should if you have been following RCP this season. AJ is now in his second performance with RCP, having just recently played Peter in "Academia Nuts". Try not to become confused as he plays Pete in "First Things First" by Derek Benfield and directed by Joe Reed. AJ loves this play for the British accents he and the cast must use as well as the dryness of the humor. He is originally from Kennett, MO where he became involved in Kennett High School's drama department at the urging of his mother and sister. Growing up he never saw himself as a performer of any kind, thus his love for the theatre was sudden and unexpected to himself as well as those close to him. After high school Aj studied mechanical engineering at Missouri S&T for three years before deciding that an enigineering career wasn't for him. He then transferred to Southeast Missouri State where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication in 2009. You simply must come and watch AJ turn British! "First Things First" will open on Friday, November 4 and will continue on the 5, 10,11,and 12.
The November 10 is the show only with the others being dinner shows. For reservations call Port Cape at 573 334-0954. The Port is located at 19 N. Water Street. This show is a comedy and is guaranteed to give you some belly laughs. See you at the theatre.
