It is my pleasure to introduce you today to yet another character in our upcoming production of "Faith County", Emily Hornburg who plays Naomi the gal that decides to get married at the County Fair. This is Emily's first production with the River City Players, but she is no stranger to the stage. Before moving to Cape Girardeau three years ago, Emily had been in several plays and musicals from elementary school through college. Some of her favorites have been Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the Nerd, The Wizard of Oz, Children of Eden, Golliwhoppers and Jack and the Beanstalk. Emily works at St. Andrew Lutheran Church as a youth minister. When she isn't on stage for RCP or hanging out with teenagers she works with, you can probably find her at Starbucks with a cup of coffee in her hand and a good novel, blogging, or taking her dog Bandit for a walk around the park. She is very excited to be in "Faith County" and is glad to have found such a fun group to work with. "Faith County" opens on Friday, May 6 and runs May 7,8,12,13,14. You may choose from the dinner shows which is a prime rib buffet which are on May 6,7,13,14,or take mom to our Mother's Day Matinee which is a dessert bar or catch the show only on Thursday, May 12. Call Port Cape for reservations at 334-0954. I promise you a laughing good time will be had by all.
